Name of Coalition: Perham Early Childhood Initiative
MIF: West Central Initiative,
Project Overview: A brochure outlining previous goals and continued projects was developed for the express purpose of broadening community awareness of the Initiative and to raise funds for ongoing opeartion. We worked with our Chamber of Commerce to identify prospective donors and the local Girl Scout Troop to help with assembling the pieces for the mailing. By agreeing to host a community show on our local cable station throughout the year the Initiative receives free or very reasonbly priced ad rates to promote the Initiative and its activities.

Lessons Learned/Outcomes: We raised $2,500 in our first direct mail campaign and one presentation to a service group. As only 300 letters were sent we felt that our brochure and ad campaign was very effective.
