Bounce House

Project Overview: Bounce House Purchase: Our ECI coalition purchased a commercial bounce house jumper, which is insured by and stored at the school. (We made arrangements for that first!) We use the jumper for community events as an activity for young children and as a fundraiser for the ECI. It has been very successful so far. We have rules to follow for safety and to protect the jumper, but have had no problems. We have used it nearly every month since its purchase. We also bought a cotton candy machine recently and use it for fundraising.

Lessons Learned/Outcomes: Our town is small and it is too cold for outdoor activities for small children much of the year. The jumper can be used indoors or out and is safe and fun for young children. At larger community events such as the Fourth of July celebration, we raised quite a bit of money and provided lots of fun. The jumper also allows us to partner with other community programs and has made us better known within the community.
