Date of Project: 09-2004

Name of Coalition: Pope County Early Childhood Coalition

MIF: West Central Initiative,

Project Overview: The "Big Top" (as big as at least two people can set up:)! is on the move as children and families will be invited to participate in early childhood activities in their own neighborhoods under a tent of many colors. During each event, two or more early childhood serving entities will provide fun and educational experiences as they travel throughout the county. Locations will include subsidized housing sites and other venues for intentional early childhood program opportunities. Picnic tables will be constructed by the high school shop classes as a gift to sites that do not have a place for families to congregate. Stakeholders - Early Childhood Coalition members, Minnewaska Area Schools shop class, subsidized housing managers, Early Childhood Coordinator, families, and the community will be involved in this adventure.
