Project Overview: Thrive will collaborate and provide a presence at community events that attract young families. In 2008, those events will include, the McLeod County Family Resource Fair sponsored by Hutchinson Area Health Care, We Care About Our Kids Day at the Hutchinson Mall, Family Fun Night sponsored by Heartland Head Start, ECFE and Ridgewater Student Senate, and finally daycare days at the McLeod County Fair with events hosted by McLeod County Social Services. For the McLeod County Family Resource Fair, Thrive will provide Molly Minkkinen as the keynote speaker on Early Brain Development. At the other events, Thrive will provide information on healthy social / emotional development along with a promotional item. (playdoh, beachball, notepad)

Lessons Learned/Outcomes: Young children and their families receive excellent information on healthy social / emotional development both in the speaker provided and through materials they can take home and reference.
