Project Overview: Create a Willmar Early Childhood Coalition 12-month calendar listing community activities for children and daily parenting ideas. Each month features a different parenting theme/ support such as fire safety, separation anxiety, positive discipline, and fine motor skills. Many calendars will be distributed at the Community New Year's Eve Celebration (usual attendance 1500). Monthly calendars in a newsletter format will also be distributed within the faith communities, workplaces, childcare settings, schools, and public venues (physician offices, restaurants, libraries) to access the highest number of families. Media ads on radio, WRAC8, local message boards/signs, newspaper, table tents, bulletin inserts, website, community based newsletters, mailings, and other mechanisms will be utilized to support as many parents as possible.
