Project Overview: The Willmar Early Childhood Coalition partnered with the area Chamber of Commerce to host a Business Breakfast to connect local business leaders with diverse local early childhood advocates, including Coalition members. The Coalition hosted an informal breakfast held at an early childhood indoor playground/gym. The slideshow of early childhood photos and quotes from the EC Conference was played continuously in the background, displays were assembled with the Coalition's goals and early childhood facts, and a presentation was given addressing business involvement in early childhood.

Lessons Learned/Outcomes: Nearly 70 individuals were in attendance at the breakfast. Every individual was asked to bring their business card and give it to the Coalition for contact information. Hopefully, as a result of the networking that took place at this event, business leaders received a better understanding of early childhood issues, and early childhood professionals received a better understanding of businesses. Speaking arrangements were also requested after the event, which eventually led to additional members joining the Coalition.
