Project Overview: Staff of Early Childhood Special Education have conducted trainings on each of the above subjects for parents, child care providers, Minnewaska Area Elementary, ECFE, nursery school, and Head Start staff.

Lessons Learned/Outcomes: *Attendees have learned valuable information and skills to use as they work with children and families. *The relationships between each of the represented entities has strengthened allowing further networking opportunities. *Members of the Pope County Early Childhood Initiative are all on the "same page" on each of these topics, making the transition for children into kindergarten easier because expectations are understood by all. *A climate of support and mutual respect for each other has developed.
