Lessons Learned/Outcomes: During the 2007-08 school year, ECFE and Early Childhood Screening were able to acquire much needed additional classroom space in the school. The elementary principal’s active involvement on the coalition was key in accomplishing this change. Plans are underway for use of a new space at the recently built Lake County Services Building in Two Harbors. The space was originally designed for a daycare, but this has never transpired. Lake County, Head Start, North Shore Collaborative and School District personnel in ECFE, Preschool, & School Age Care along with Coalition members have been meeting to determine needs, best use, and the potential for collaborative and blended early care and education programming in this space.
