Project Overview: The Silver Bay and Two Harbors Early Childhood Coalitions developed the “Family Connections” resource guide. This guide includes resources for families with children of all ages, but focusing on birth to five in Lake County. Contact information was divided as follows: Assistance: AEOA, Emergency Assistance (AA/Al-Anon, Food Shelf), Neighbor to Neighbor, Salvation Army, North Shore Horizons Community: Churches, Community Ed, North Shore Collaborative, Scouts, Early Childhood Coalitions, University of MN Extension, Parks and Recreation, Public Libraries, Senior Services Education: Adult and Alternative Ed (Adult Basic Ed, SOLO), Early Childhood Care & Education (CCRR&R, Head Start, Community Ed Preschool, School Readiness, ECFE, Child Find/Special Ed, North Shore Community School), School Age (Kids & Company, After School Activities, Wolf Ridge ELC), Lake Superior School District Health Care: Bay Area Medical Clinic, SuperiorHealth Center, Superior Health Pharmacies, Lakeview Memorial Hospital, Community Care Nursing, Human Development Center, Health Care Coverage Lake County Human Services: Food Shelf, Financial Assistance, Child Support, Public Health, Social Services

Lessons Learned/Outcomes: 2,000+ booklets will be printed and distributed via newborn packets, new family packets, ECS packets, kindergarten enrollment, Community Ed, Public Libraries, Lake County Human Services, MN Extension, WIC, North Shore Collaborative, Schools, clinics and other agencies as requested.
