Project Overview: A collaborative effort through our Early Childhood Initiative, Head Start, School Readiness/ISD 548, and ECSE to provide an integrated classroom for three-year old children. The catalyst for this collaborative has been the coalition's flexibility and encouragement to be creative. We have come up with an intergrated classroom with 3 teachers and a mixed group of children.

Lessons Learned/Outcomes: Over half of the three-year old census is participating in this local programming (38). There have been great discussions with the Special Education Cooperative, our district, and Head Start on the importance of reaching children with appropriate programming. The district has accommodated with a classroom, supplies, and other in-kind details. Families utilizing this program are thankful to have it offered locally and continuously throughout the year. The third Early Childhood teacher was hired through our Initiative grant award.
