Project Overview: Our members produced a colorful card with the contact information of all of our legislators along with a short explanation of why they should keep early childcare as a top priority on the legislative agenda this year. These cards were set out in prominent businesses and buildings in our communities for the public to pick up. Also, the coordinator visited with business owners and left them stamped, addressed postcards (from the IF) and asked them to jot a note to each of the legislators asking them to keep childcare as a top priority. The business owners have become aware that the youngest of our citizens need to have the best possible start in life to in order to become effective leaders in our community in the future.

Lessons Learned/Outcomes: We anticipate that our legislators received many of the impressive postcards and are now aware that the present leaders of our community are concerned about the foundation we are setting for our future leaders.
